Notching

For variable bendings

Bending takes place by means of a series of transversal impressions to the trapezoidal sheet (notches) that produce a series of bends with constant/variable pitch.

The notches are designed and executed to allow a correct absorption of the material stresses due to deformation, without loss of rigidity of the trapezoidal element. The succession, the angular incidence and the pitch of the notches determine the value of the bending radius, which can be constant for the entire length of the sheet or with a variable value in the various sections of the same length.

Notching can be concentrated on one or more parts of the length, giving rise to particular shapes mixed curved/straight or with irregular bending.

The curved slabs obtained in this way are mainly used in the creation of roofs with regular or irregular curved section, cusp section, with "Y beams", etc.

Processing available on the following profiles:

  • SAND 20
  • SAND 28
  • SAND 35
  • SAND38
  • SAND 40/200
  • SAND 40/250
  • SAND A55 P600

Constant/variable radius:

  • on request from mm 300 on SAND 20 and SAND 28 profiles
  • on request from mm 400 on SAND 35, SAND38, SAND 40/200 - SAND 40/250 profiles
